Accessibility
At Trojan Events, we believe events should be accessible for everyone to enjoy.
Starting with our festival season, we're partnering with Nimbus Disability, a leading UK authority on accessible ticketing, to use their Access Card Scheme. This will give you a smoother and better experience with Trojan Events but will mean a few changes in how you buy tickets with additional accessibility features and how we handle your evidence for these needs.
In line with the Equality Act, validation of your access needs will now be through Nimbus Disability via an application for the Trojan Events Digital Access Pass. This is a free pass that will be valid for 3 years, so you will be able to use this at subsequent events organised by us. There will also be the option to upgrade to an Access Card for £15.00 which you can use at other venues, events, attractions throughout the UK. Validating this way ensures everyone gets the right support while preventing any misuse.
How to use my access card at an event
You should aim to complete the following three steps within 7 days of the ticket purchase. If you cannot complete the steps, or if your evidence is not sufficient, we reserve the right to cancel the Accessibility features that you requested in your ticket booking, so that we can make them available to others.
1. Buy your tickets
Choose the event, book your tickets as you would normally including any accessible tickets if needed. Note, we often do not require you to purchase a separate ticket for an essential companion so in this case just get one for the accessible person normally and another can be issued when requested in the next steps.
2. Apply for Access Validation
To validate your access requirements, you'll need either a free Trojan Events digital access pass or an access card. If you already have an access card, skip to step 3. If you don't already have one of these, you can apply using the following button.
3. Submit your Access Requirements Form
Once you have a digital access pass or an access card, you must submit this to us by filling out the Access Requirements Form, using following button.
Once we have received and processed your evidence, we will send you an email to confirm.
FAQ
Q: DO DISABLED ASSISTANTS NEED TICKETS?
A: A standard ticket will admit a personal assistant at no additional cost. Your accessibility need will have to be verified upon arrival in addition to filling out the form prior to 48h before the event.
Q: IS THERE DISABLED PARKING?
A: Our disabled parking is on site and to be accessed by blue badge holders ONLY. you must complete a form before attending the event.
Q: ARE THEIR DISABLED TOILETS?
A: There are disabled toilets at our music events on site only - not the campsite.
Q: WHAT IS ACCESSIBILITY LIKE?
A: Navigating the festival grounds can be challenging for wheelchair users as the surface is not tarmac or concrete. If the weather decides to dance in the rain, navigating the grounds is the same but campsites will become muddy so that can be a challenge. Our sincerest apologies for any hiccups along the way – we're on a journey to make your experience the best it can be!
